Seems to be a re-release of U3 songs. What’s interesting is that the first version of both songs in the single (オリジナル・バージョン) is the Original Version, probably hinting to the songs when they were sung by the younger Utada. The second version of both songs in the single (マキシ・バージョン) is the Maxi Version, which could probably be hinting at either relayered/renewed sound quality version (like Fly Me To The Moon -2007 MIX-) or an actual reworked version with new vocals and instrumentals. Stay tuned for more info.

Rumoured new single title – 9歳の想い出

Posted on by

According to Yahoo Music Japan, 9歳の想い出 (9sai no Omoide) is the title of Hikki’s new Japanese single. There is also a release date of August 21st this year (2009.08.21). 9歳の想い出 litereally means Memories of a Nine Year Old. Could this be the theme song for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts PSP game, Birth By Sleep?

Another interesting note is that the single is released under New Century Records instead of EMI Music Japan. New Century Records was the label that released U3′s music. Could this signify that Hikki is indeed going back to her roots?

As the title says, there’s only 10 days left until TITO finally releases in North America! As part of doing promo, we will post any artwork or promotional media that you wish to show to others! Please remember that this media has to be APPROPRIATE and DOES NOT OFFEND ANYONE in any way. Submissions can be sent to brandentobin@shaw.ca.

We will also start an Other Artist’s Music of the month post to allow Utada fans to enjoy music that is similar in taste to hers, as we all know that Utada cannot make and release music 24/7. So here is the Suggested Music of the Month, Post #1.

Imogen Heap
is very experimental in her style of music. It is best brought out in her second album, Speak For Yourself, which is a compilation of worldly sounds with a soft electronic vibe in them. She has two names, the other being Frou Frou, where she also produced experimental and electronic sounds. If you liked Beautiful World, Celebrate, or テイク 5 from Utada, you’ll love Imogen Heap’s music.

Recommended Songs: The Moment I Said It, Hide and Seek, The Walk, Let Go [Frou Frou]
