Music Project

Posted on by

Hey guys, just a quick update. I’m actually looking for someone to produce a song on a professional level.  All in all, I’ve been searching for a producer and/or composer for about four years. This song was originally written to be in a full-length video game entitled “Dead End Tokyo” produced by me under the banner Moonbeam Games. However, I felt it was very a lame idea and I finally decided to hell with this, I’m making is into an actual song and here I am today. So if there are any amateur composers or even someone who dabbles in music production, please contact me and we can work something out. I am even prepared to pay or we can work on a deal. If intrested please contact me.

Lyrics:

My Love
koinouta

I want to hold you to protect you.
anata to te wo tsunagi anata wo mamori tai

Like the daylight embracing the night, shielding it with it’s beauty,
itsumo taiyou no kagayaki no naka utsukushiku

so that we would not speak ill of it.
dare mo zyama surukoto wa dekinai

But if you tell me I’ll go.
anata ga nozomunara boku wa hanarerukotomo itowanai

Time is a frail thing, no one can touch it.
jikan wa totemo deriketo na mono daremo fureru kotowa dekinai

It’s almost as if it runs from everything
toki wa bokura wo matte wa kurenai

like a little child afraid of the darkness’ slithering hands.
kodomo tachi ga yami no te kara nogareyouto suru youni

If I could stop time for a time, I
I’d turn it back like nothing had happened between us.
moshi mo jikan o modosetanara kimi to deau maeni modosou

If I could stop time for a time, I’d make it help me console you and make sure you never hurt me.
moshi mo jikan o modosetanara kimi ga boku wo kizutsukenai youni

What has happened?
boku to kimini ittai nani ga okota no?

I feel ethereal.
doushite iinoka wakaranai

This surreal atmosphere makes me weary.
tada bokutachi no aiwo ubau dake

I want to cry.
kowarete shimaitai

You hurt me so much.
kimiga bokuwo kizutsukerukara

Was it my fault?
bokuno ayamachi nano?

Could it be me?
honto ni?

Why do you turn away from me?
kimino kokoro gawari wa nazenano?

Why do you not face me?
doushite boku no koto wo minai no?

I want to touch you.
kimini furet

Congrats! So far, after two days of being released, This Is The One has reached #34 most downloaded overall album and #8 on most downloaded Pop album on iTunes Canada! She also is listed as #1 most downloaded overall/Pop album on iTunes Japan, and #21 most downloaded overall album and #3 most downloaded Pop album on iTunes US. Please continue to support her, or buy her physical CD for This Is The One when it comes out on May 12th in stores (unless you buy it online from Japan/Asia).

Here is a live of Come Back To Me that she did on KTLA. She shortened the song. She also did a live of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence – FYI, which we will post when there is a higher quality version available online.

Sephora Blog : “What’s In Utada’s Makeup Bag”

Utada chats with Sephora about her latest makeup tips. Check it out here.

“In a song I wrote when I was seventeen (Japanese lyrics), I say ‘Makeup and fashion are meaningless if they’re used only for the purpose of hiding (flaws and weaknesses).’ I think makeup is supposed to show who you are, not just hide flaws and things you don’t like about yourself or your face.”  – Utada

Rankings Update + Live Interview/Performance

Posted on by

Utada’s “Come Back To Me” debuts at #75 ranking in the Billboard’s Pop 100 Airplay (see link), which is a first timer for her. Congrats Hikki! Hope you can make it big with “This Is The One”!

For the first week of sales of “This Is The One” in Japan, the album debuted at #3 on Oricon, which ended Utada’s #1 streak for her album discography on Oricon… but there is still time, maybe her sales will rise miraculously? Who knows, let’s hope for the best! (But I think her main focus is in the States/North America)

Utada will possibly be on “Live With Ryan Searcrest” on March 23rd, the day before “This Is The One” gets released digitally in North America. Taku Hirano, Utada’s long-time percussionist, also posts on his blog that there will be a live performance. What songs do you think she’ll be performing for this? (I hope it’s “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence – FYI” and “On And On”.) 3 rehearsal dates have been scheduled for this performance.
